In-patient care

Our department currently has a financing contract for 50 acute beds. However, we are in the process of restructuring our department, obtaining approval, and modifying our financing to create a division of 20 acute beds and 20 rehabilitation beds, supplemented by a 10-bed diurnialhospital. In acute care, we are working on implementing a quality improvement system. In rehabilitation, alongside often integrated artistic sociotherapy and educational approaches, we conduct metacognitive training, occupational rehabilitation, and animal-assisted therapy sessions, in which volunteer peer support specialists also participate as assistants. Withinthe diurnialhospital setting, we offer sociotherapy as well as psychotherapy groups. Additionally, we are planning methodological developments in the areas of nutritional and physical exercise interventions, and incorporating cognitive and neuromodulation procedures.

Out-care care

Our outpatient services are provided in a recently renovated clinic. Adult and child psychiatric care for the area is providedby the inpatient department’s physicians, alongside part-time and external specialists. Currently, we operate the hospital’s busiest specialist clinic. The department’s social worker assists patients with their social support needs. We also offer several rehabilitation group sessions for our outpatients.

Special outpatient clinics

Sensitive Period Specialized Clinic

In addressing mental and behavioral disorders in young adults, we pay particular attention to identifying potential risk states for mental illnesses. We employ targeted interventions to help redirect their neurological development towards a neurotypical path. We examine and monitor young individuals using clinical, electrophysiological, laboratory, cognitive, and neurophenomenological methods. Our developmental support is based on specific dietary interventions, nutritional supplements, non-invasive neuromodulation, and individual, family, and group education.

Metabolic Psychiatry Specialized Clinic

We are pioneering the first specialized clinic in Hungary focusing on targeted support for neuronal metabolism. The disruption of cellular bioenergetics is almost universal in the pathogenesis of psychiatric disorders. This also closely links them with obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and certain neurological conditions. At our clinic, we apply personalized treatments under laboratory, instrumental, and clinical supervision, including medical fasting therapy, ketogenic diet, and other dietary, lifestyle, and supplement-based interventions. Our work is supported by a hospital dietitian. We also consider it our mission to promote the brain metabolic approach among professionals in the field.

Stress Specialized Clinic

We operate a ’psychosomatic’ type clinic to provide consultative care for patients who are being treated in various departments or clinics of the hospital for physical illnesses and who simultaneously require psychiatric or psychological support. The stress-centered approach serves to facilitate mental health help-seeking. Alongside clinical and laboratory monitoring of various aspects of stress, we apply multifaceted, personalized interventions including psychosocial, nutritional, and pharmacotherapeutic approaches.

Screening

With the systematic school screening of those who do not seek help, we try to identify early signs of possible abnormal central nervous system development and redirect the development back to the neurotypical way in order to prevent and ward off mental illnesses.
